About this course

Filmed in Berlin, the city that changed the course of her musical journey, Nene H takes us inside her world as a DJ, producer, and artist who has spent over a decade challenging the boundaries of electronic music. From her beginnings as a classical pianist to finding her place in Berlin's underground scene, she shares the experiences, challenges, and creative decisions that shaped her distinctive sound.

Throughout the masterclass, Nene explores her approach to DJing as a form of storytelling, explaining how she connects different genres through emotion, energy, and musical density. She breaks down her personal Rekordbox organisation system, demonstrates her approach to the DJM-V10 mixer, and walks through the fundamentals of vinyl mixing, from beatmatching by ear to cueing techniques. Beyond the technical side, she opens up about artistic identity, performance anxiety, crowd expectations, and the realities of building a career in electronic music.

The masterclass concludes with a practical DJ demonstration, bringing her philosophy of musical storytelling, experimentation, and genre-blending into action.
