In Creative Building, D Stone breaks down the workflow he uses to turn found audio into a finished track: starting with how and why he samples, then moving into building a track from scratch, and finishing with a full project breakdown. You’ll see how he digs for usable material (from old records and modern platforms), chooses sections with “space,” and then flips them inside Ableton using looping, warping/repitching, slicing, and straightforward processing to make the source feel like new. From there, he shares a practical production template (sidechain routing, grouped channels, sends/returns), how he programs drums and groove quickly, and how to keep arrangements effective without stacking endless layers.
